A new stage in 2024: CSRD takes flight ! 🚀
At the start of this year, we celebrate the official launch of the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), a major step in our transition from a financial focus to a resolutely sustainable approach.
Companies committed to this approach will now have to comply with twelve European standards, the ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards), including two transversal standards. These standards cover five environmental aspects, four social dimensions and a governance component. Each ESRS standard will apply the principle of double materiality, requiring the declaration of the material impacts of a company’s activity on the environment and society, as well as the material consequences of changes in this environment on its activity. This transition marks a fundamental shift from a traditional focus on financial aspects to a more holistic and sustainable view of our business activities. 🌍💡
